DANZAS y RITOS: a mythical exhibition of Isabel Muñoz in Blanca Berlín Gallery in Madrid
I have in Madrid a sacred place where I go, every time I visit this town: this place is Blanca Berlín Gallery (c/Limón, 28 – http://www.blancaberlingaleria.com/). I find this gallery very friendly, elegant, and refined, with a very high level offer and always bet on artists and works very inspiring.
On February 23rd opened (I was very lucky to be there) a magnificent exhibition of IsabelMuñoz (one of the best Spanish photographer) called “Danzas y Ritos” dealing with portraits of men, women and children from different tribes from Papua New Guinea. Some of the printed images are 150×150 cm color “platinopias”, something really exceptionally in photograph!
Here’s a small sample that does not do justice to reality and therefore invite you to go to the gallery or at least access to http://www.blancaberlingaleria.com/exposiciones/danzas_y_ritos/danzas_y_ritos.html
The exhibition will last until April 11th and honestly I think it’s a “must”; moreover, in the exhibition is presented a very interesting video showing the making-off of the photos; by considering that Isabel Muñoz is a real “living legend” in the photography scene, just for seeing how she is in action, it is worth entering the world of Blanca Berlín and enjoy. If this happens, I am sure you will repeat!
